The Reno and Sparks Boys & Girls Club in Northern Nevada offers an amazing youth basketball program for boys and girls starting in fourth grade and continuing through the eighth grade. The basketball league offers kids a chance to improve on their ball handling, technique, basketball skills and development.
Each year hundreds of local area children are exposed to this great sport through the Reno Ballers program and are taught important lessons about sportsmanship, responsibility and hard work.

My daughter has been part of this outstanding program that has helped elevate her skills to the next level in basketball.
She was able step outside her comfort zone to play on a team with girls she never knew before, she has learned to trust and respect others and how to be a team player. These skills will follow her throughout her entire life.
I highly recommend this program that runs September thru May. Those interested can join at anytime. The cost is on $20 per year. You must be a member of the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows. Those interested need to complete a membership application.
The Boys & Girls Club is located at 2680 East 9th Street in Reno, Nevada. For additional information call 775-331-5437. Stop by in person to fill out an application or go online at www.bgctm.org to download and print out. It is easy and so worth the $20.
If the Reno Ballers program is not for your child you should consider the Winter Basketball league.
The Boys & Girls Club Winter Basketball League is running Jan. 3-Feb. 17. Sign-ups are open now, and the league fee is just $20 for Club members, and $30 for non-members (includes a one-year BGCTM membership). Kids receive instruction from trained coaches in the Club's state-of-the art facilities.
