Hi Terrie, This sounds like a really FUN event! Hope you and your family have fun...and Happy Mother's Day!!
Happy Mother's Day to you Teresa! Thank you for stopping and commenting on my Reno River Festival post! I stopped by the event yesterday and had a terrific time watching the kayaking events!
Terrie, that sounds like such a blast! I wish I could come...you will have to show pix afterwards!
Thanks Kristin! Have a great day today.
Terrie the Reno River Boat Festival sounds like a great time. Hope you have fun if you are going. Happy Mothers Day!
Thank you Bill!
Hi Terrie.....I'm guessing your town feels a little more like home this morning.....40,000 people can have a big impact! We have a launch here today so Titusville will be more crowded than usual. Hope you had a great time at your events.
Thank you Gail! May is a great time to kick off summer in most areas. Downtown was packed yesterday and everyone had a great time! I hope Titusville has great success this week with they have events planned for you.
Terrie, this sure sounds like a great event and with so many different activities there's got to be something fun for the entire family!
Siliva ~ This event keeps growing in popularity each year adn I am certain it is because of the family oriented atmosphere of the River Festival!
Terrie - The more photos I see on your site, the more I think I would enjoy Northern Nevada. I've driven through it, but have only really done Vegas. Guess I'll have to add it to my list.
Matt ~ All you have to do is visit Lake Tahoe and you will be hooked on Northern Nevada. Thank you for your comment and have a great week.
Terrie - Well as you know, I am friends with a band that "loved Lake Tahoe." They were English, but went nuts for it. You couldn't shut them up about it. One of these days I'll make it up there. Hope your week is going well too.
My body is one big goose pimple just looking at those pictures. Looks fun but the water needs to be warm for this Southern Nevadan!
Renee ~ You know that river is cold this time of year!! Burr....I guess you will have to wait until August if your want the Truckee River to be slightly warm!!
Terrie, This sounds like a lot of fun! Hope you had a good time, and didn't freeze your tootsies!
Terrie, Oh, that looks like too much FUN! But I for one prefer a water temp slightly on the hotter side :) ~Rita
I actually don't remember a river in downtown Reno. Maybe the billions of sparkling lights had me blinded -- LOL.
I suggested way back in 1973 that they should have a river festival. Glad to know that it happened!
Mary ~ The Truckee River will is a bit cold this time a year! That is why being a spectator is much better than being a participant! Thank you.
Rita ~ Good times were had at this years Reno River Fest! Thank you for the comment.
Jim ~ The Truckee River has been a part of downtown Reno for many, many years. City officials are trying to revitalize the downtown area and are planning some really great events centered around the river to attract not only visitors but also to get locals to come downtown.
Russel ~ Wow! What a bright child you must have been in 1978....amazing it took so long for someone to actually listen to the words of a toddler.
