Pumpkin Patch Boy

Ferrari Farms ~ 4701 Mill Street, Reno, Nevada. Family owned and operated! Hours of Operation: Monday through Thursday 9:30a.m. to 8p.m. Friday and Saturday 9:30a.m. to 10p.m. and Sunday 9:30a.m. to 6p.m.

      ~Located in Reno on the corner of Mill Street and Rock Blvd., Ferrari Farms offers an abundance of pumpkins and gourds that are harvested right on the farm. You will not only find colorful fall decorations but will also find an old tractor ready to take your on a hay ride. Get lost in a corn maze or take the time to meet a few barnyard animals. Come out and see why Ferrari Farms is one of Reno's favorite places to visit each fall.

Toll House Pumpkin Patch ~ 12185 South Virginia Street, Reno Nevada. Hours of operation are: Sunday through Thursday 9a.m. to 8p.m.  Friday and Saturday 9a.m. to 9p.m.

Toll House Pumpkin Patch has a unique fall harvest setting with several children activies. After you pick your perfect pumpkins, the kids can enjoy a maze, train ride, rock climbing wall and an inflatable bounce house. Kids can also take a ride on a kiddie ATV, take a pony ride or just bounce the afternoon away in a Dragon or Pumpkin Bounce. If you visit Toll House Pumpkin Patch plan on spending the entire afternoon enjoying the festivities.


Nevada Lynn's Emporium~ Located at 435 U.S. 395 North, Washoe Valley, Nevada. Hours of operation: Daily 9a.m. to 6p.m.

During the year you can shop at Nevada Lynn's Emporium for gift baskets and novelty items. During the month of October, you can stop in at Nevada Lynn's Emporium and shop for pumpkins, fall decorations, homemade apple pie and apple cider!

Nevada Lynn's Emporium is located south of Reno, Nevada and has a huge selection of pumpkins to choose from. It is a great place to stop in to get a hot cup of cider or hot chocolate while you select the perfect pumpkin to bring home.

Tiller and Wonda

Moana Nursery  Halloween Fest ~ 1100 West Moana Lane, Reno Nevada. Starts at 1p.m. on October 24, 2009

Moana Nursery is one of Reno, Nevada premier garden centers with several locations in the Reno/Sparksareas. They are locally owned and operated and have been doing business in Northern Nevada since 1967. This year they are hosting a Harvest Fest on October 24 at 1p.m. at the Moana location.

Pet lovers/owners ~ This is your chance to dress up your pets in their best Halloween costumes and let them parade around on the "Spooky Pouch Parade!"

Bring the fattest pumpkin you have to be weighed and win a prize! Pumpkins must be checked in by 1:30p.m.

Bakers bring your favorite harvest dish and enter the Harvest Bake - Off contest. Have your dish entered by 11:30a.m. Judging will begin at 1p.m.

Halloween Howl ~ Garden Shop Nursery located at 3636 Mayberry Drive, Reno Nevada. October 31, 2009 from 1p.m. to 5p.m.

This event is for people and their pets, featuring pet trick or treating, a pet psychic, animal costume contests, pet photos, dog games, a parade at 3 p.m. led by Reno Aces mascot Archie, free hot chocolate and cookies, pumpkin painting, music, and more. Tickets in advance are $20 for adults and $5 for children. At the door, they are $25 and $10. Proceeds benefit the Shakespeare Animal Fund.

Sparks Great Pumpkin Carnival ~ Alf Sorensen Community Center at 1400 Baring Blvd. Sparks, Nevada.  Event hours are from 6pm to 8:30p.m. October 29, 2009

The 23rd annual Sparks Great Pumpkin Carnival is a great place to take your children if you are looking for a safe and entertaining alternative to trick - or - treating. This event is always packed with children dressed in costume making their way through interactive booths playing games, winning prizes and trick - or - treating with local business vendors.

There will be a haunted house and a homemade costume contest. Prizes will be awarded for best homemade costume in different age groups.

Reno Harvest Festival ~ 3925 Neil Road, Reno Nevada

October 31 - At the Neil Road Recreation Center, 3925 Neil Road in Reno. The City of Reno's Harvest Festival will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., featuring a fun and safe Halloween environment with candy, trick-or-treating, face painting, prizes, and bounce houses. Entry is $1 or a can of food.

Now that my two 12 year olds do not want me near them, I will be taking my dogs out trick -or - treating this year! Still working on their costumes though, stay tuned!

Wouldn't be easier just to photo shop my family photo with some of your head shots instead of me mailing some walled sized ones your way? You are the master of photo shop after all!
