A real estate short sale occurs when a home is sold for less than is owned on it. Because the lender is being asked to accept a loss on their investment, the take a role in determining the sales price of the home. They decide what the selling price will be. The tricky part of a short sale transaction is getting the lender to agree to the terms of a contract.

Your Short Sale situation is very similar to ours here in the Coachella Valley.  They are building up and hopefully, getting the banks to relinquish "right to pursue" will become easier in the near future.  Good luck!

Kimberly ~ I wish banks were offering full debt forgiveness letters to the short sale borrowers but the are few and far between right now, maybe in the near future.
