The Best In The West Nugget Rib Cook - Off is here for its 22nd year ~ Come join the fun tonight through Monday, September 6, 2010! This is a free event that locals and visitors look forward to each year. Local businesses say revenues from this event will help them survive through the slower, winter months.
An estimated 50,000 people will be sampling, judging and eating up some delicious Ribs over the next few days!
As Reno and Sparks, Nevada residents, we look forward to special events like the Rib Cook Off each year not only because they stimulate our local economy, but because they are fun! Plain and simple, good times! This annual event is a great place for the entire family, a great place to bring a date and a great girls nite out venue!
Getting to the Rib Cook Off is easy. Located on Victorian Avenue in Sparks at 1100 Nugget Avenue.
Parking is easy and as usual, you can catch the free shuttle the runs every half hour from the Legends at the Sparks Marina (1310 SCHEELS Drive in Sparks) to the Rib Cook Off drop off center.
This free shuttle service will run all weekend every hour starting at 11 am and stopping at 11:30 pm.
