Friday Photos ~ Reno's Riverwalk District

Reno's Riverwalk District in Downtown Reno runs along the Truckee River and is a local favorite place to go to cool off during our "Hot" summer nights!

Reno's Riverwalk District

Strolling along the river, watching a movie in the park, having  a cup of coffee or an ice cream cone are just a few of things you can do on any given summer evening in Reno. Reno's downtown area is what keeps locals and visitors flocking to this area.

I am heading to Reno soon, and you know I will be walking around near here...  Since my favorite breakfast place is near there!

Looks cool.  I've been to Reno once en route to Tahoe.  Love the red in the pic.

Terrie - The last time I was in Reno visiting my daughter (who lives there), we went down to the RiverWalk area.  It is a significant asset to the city, and very delightful to visit.

Very cool looking district.  Resembles a Venetian waterway.  I think it would be enjoyable to walk along there in the evening.

I really love that "Down Town Reno Core"  It's what I remember as a kid!

Thamks for the great memories!

Terrie, guess I've never been through Reno. If I had, I would have remembered the river. Great photo.

Myrl ~ The Riverwalk area is a nice break for those who are staying in the downtown casinos. You can walk along the Truckee River and get away for a little while. I am glad you enjoyed the area.

Kristine ~ I have read a lot of posts about the San Antonio River Walk and I would love to visit that area as well. It seems like there is a lot happening there.

Thanks Patricia ~ Right now the Truckee River is really high, we had a great winter, so it almost looks like a different river to me. It really makes the downtown area seem so exciting.

Michael ~ Walking around this area in summer evenings is truly the best time to do so. It is a great way to end you day!!

You are welcome Lisa. It seems we all have some sort of  childhood memories of the Truckee River.

Yes Ted,if you had come through Reno it might very well be one of the only memories of Reno you have. Is that a good or bad thing? lol

Kathryn ~ You must put Reno and Lake Tahoe on your list. Both are worth visiting. Have a great weekend.
