This year will be the 10th year that Northern Nevada has supported the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure.
Tayona Tate has put together a team of ladies from Ferrari-Lund Real Estate to help raise funds for local breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs at the Komen Northern Nevada Race for the Cure. The race is on Sunday, October 5, at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Over the past 10 years, Susan G. Komen for the Cure Northern Nevada has awarded more than $1.5 million for community breast cancer programs as well as additional contributions to Komen's Foundation Award and research program to fund medical research for a cure for this terrible disease.
The Komen Race for the Cure is about funding breast cancer education, early screening and treatment- transforming breast cancer patients into breast cancer survivors.
The race includes a 5K run, 5K walk, and a 1 mike walk, as well as free entertainment, a expo featuring sponsor giveaways and the Safeway Food Court.
If you are interested in joining the race, you can register in person on October 2-4 at the Macy's Furniture Store, 6011 S. Virginia Street in Reno, Nevada or on October 5 from 7:00 to 8:00a.m. at the race site.

This Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. the Nevada Wold Packand Komen are partnering for the Wolves for the Cure kickoff Volleyball match against Boise State at the University of Nevada Virgina Street Gym. All fans wearing pink will be admitted free! Come out and support the UNR Volleyball Team and the Susan G.Komen for the Cure Northern Nevada.
