Today, a great friend introduced me to the Dish Cafe! It is a quaint little diner located at 855 Mill Street in Reno, Nevada, 89502!
The Cafe, according to its owner, Nancy Horn, uses nothing but fresh, organic ingredients in her dishes for dine in, take out and custom catering.
Nancy started making "Cup Cakes" while staying home with her children. She sold them at bake sales, baked them for birthday parties, church functions and soon ventured out and started "DISH" in 2002.
According to her friends, Nancy has a "knack" for baking and has found her "niche" in the Reno market for catering. The Dish Cafe was selected as the "Best Caterer 2008" by RENO Magazine and "Best Catering Company 2008" by the Reno News and Review.
The cafe offers new and different daily specials. I ordered the special, "Grilled Brie with Apple Spread and Turkey Panini," it was delicious. My friend had a bowl of Turkey Chili. We were both very happy with our selections.
The menu changes with the seasons. Nancy likes to select items that are only the freshest and highest quality available. She then creates from those ingredients to come up with innovative dishes that are very distinct and delicious!
The catering service available at The DISH is considered their forte. They cater weddings, office parties, birthday parties, dinner for friends. They can deliver, or you can pick up. Create and plan your own special menu.
Overall, I give this Cafe two thumbs up for freshness, quality, uniqueness and affordability.

Organic is good, but it's so expensive!! It's a shame that eating healthy costs more than eating unhealthy!
Yvette~ The Dish is not to pricey. My sandwich was $8.50 and it came with a small side salad, and a great presentation!! But you are right, eating healthy can be expensive!

This looks like a great little restaurant and an awesome caterer. We had a similar place locally, but it didn't last - I hope the Dish Cafe has better luck.
