Wow, Terrie, too bad I still do not live in Northern California. My boys have to go to Big Bear or Mountain High. Not all that much snow there. They actually have to have man-made snow, (snow-machines). Big bear is $50.00, for an all day pass. Mt. High is $20.00 for night time. I will consider this for them though. They could use our time-share, Windham, in the city and maybe drive up to the mountains.
Thanks Jane ~ Some of the resorts around here have to make a lot of snow as well. Luckily we just had a snow storm over the weekend so the snow pack should be pretty good. Thank you for commenting and have fun skiing with your boys!
Hi Terrie,
Great localism post. These rates should draw a huge crowd especially with the layer of fresh snow.
I also enjoyed the picture in your post. Thanks for sharing.
Hal ~ Thank you for stopping by! I am going to personally take advantage of some of these discounts in February. My kids are on break so we will have plenty of time.
Terrie - That's just great information for your readers and anyone in the area. I've skied at Heavenly many times, but being a tourist at the time I had no idea about some of these other places or the deals they offer.
Good job my friend!
Thank you Craig! Heavenly is awesome! With so many resorts in this area, I tend to ski at resorts that offer the best deals.
And who could blame you? Free and Discount are two of my favorite words too!
But going to the less traveled places makes for shorter lines, less crowds and typically a more fun time.
Looks like the ski resorts have some great deals going on right now. Hopefully you get to make it up there soon. Thanks for the information. Is that a picture of you making the first tracks down that slope?
Wow Terrie, it sounds like you are surrounded with ski slopes! Great information for skiers; looks like great prices too. Our closes ski slopes are Beech Mountain and Hawks Nest which are about an hour and a half away. They usually always are making snow there too but this year I think they are having their best season in years because of the weather. Love the picture too; did you take it?? Take care!
Mike ~ LOL! Not that is not me but thanks for asking and commenting. There are great deals at most ski resorts, especially mid-week, you just need to be informed who offers what.
Teresa ~ We are lucky here in Northern Nevada to be surrounded by area ski resorts, I agree. Most have a view or two of Lake Tahoe as well. It is what helps make Reno/Sparks so special!
Terri, lots of great information here. I'm too far away to take advantage but wanted to tell you how visually appealing your posts are. I'm training a few agents on Friday on how to design a good post and I'm going to provide them with examples of yours. Great work!
Connie ~ Thank you so much! Man, that means so much to know you enjoy my posts! I really to want to them to be appealing and with good content. Thanks.
